PADI Tec – Tec 45

PADI TecRec courses provide the techniques and procedures necessary for diving beyond recreational dive limits. These are some of the most intensive, yet exhilarating, courses you’ll find. Technical diving isn’t for everyone but if this type of diving appeals to you and you’re willing to accept the risks, responsibilities and obligations, you’ll find it one of the most rewarding dive experiences you’ll ever have.

Why PADI Tec 45? The Tec 45 course picks up where Tec 40 leaves off and takes your training as a tec diver further and deeper. It is the second sub-course in the full  PADI Tec Diver course. Building on the Tec 40 program, the Tec 45 module covers the skills, equipment and planning needed to dive to a maximum of 45 metres using a single stage cylinder of EANx or oxygen to accelerate or add conservatism to the decompression stops.

After successful completion of the PADI Tec 45 course you’ll be able to conduct decompression dives and gas-switch accelerated decompression dives using enriched air or oxygen to a depth of 45 metres. You’ll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable technical diving emergencies. You will master the basic skills and procedures you’ll need as you move into deeper technical diving.
