Specialty Course – Sidemount
Introduction
Sidemount diving is becoming increasingly popular in the mainstream dive community. As an alternative to the traditional back mount twin tanks, you can dive with redundant gas supply strapped to the side of your body. Sidemount diving has a number of benefits for the recreational diver and technical/cave diver – if you have any back problems you have the ease of carrying the tanks to and from dive site, it gives you double the gas supply, it’s great for travel as not all places have twin tanks available for hire and helps with streamlining your profile in the water.
