Specialty Course – Underwater Navigator
Introduction
You would of learned about underwater and surface navigation during your PADI Open Water course, but do you want to know more?
This course is ideal for finding wrecks and preventing those long surface swims. The result is that you will save energy, use less air and you will have more time underwater to see what you were diving for in the first place.
Description
The course is designed to familiarise divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of underwater navigation. It is intended to serve as a safe and supervised introduction to navigation techniques used in the underwater environment.
Schedule
One evening of theory 6pm-9pm
3 shore dives
Prerequisites
PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent rating with another training agency).
Cost:
$295.00
Includes: PADI Underwater Navigation Manual and all tuition, three shore dives, use of tank & weights and PADI Certification upon successful completion.
Requirements
Complete SCUBA unit including alternate air source, SPG, computer & compass
Mask, snorkel, fins, boots
Wetsuit / drysuit, hood, gloves
Weight System
Dive knife
Slate and pencil
SMB & Spool OR Safety sausage
Log book
1 passport style photograph

A $150.00 deposit is required.
You will receive your PADI Underwater Navigator manual, you required to complete the independent study, and fill out the knowledge reviews prior to the first session of the course.
