PADI Underwater Naturalist

The PADI Underwater Naturalist course is designed to create an awareness and sense of responsibility and respect for the aquatic environment. It is an introductory course to aquatic organisms and their environment. We also look at the impact of man on the underwater realm, the mythology and the relationships between aquatic animals and human interaction.

PADI Open Water Diver certification.
Cost: $295.00 which includes the 2 evenings of knowledge development sessions, 2 open water dives.

Requirements

Complete SCUBA unit including alternate air source SPG, computer & compass
Exposure suit – drysuit or wetsuit
Mask, snorkel, boots & fins
Weight System
Slate with pencil
Dive knife
Log Book
1 passport style photograph

Suggested but not mandatory – magnifying glass, plastic bags, small screw top clear containers, waterproof identification charts.

Course Content

2 open water dives, 2 evenings of theory. This course will open your eyes to the underwater world and you will develop a thirst for more knowledge as a result of participating. No longer will you be content to just swim over the bottom – every rock, every weed, every pylon will stop you in your tracks for a closer examination!
