Scallop Drift

Scallop Drift
Open Water
8m – 12m

Looking for a feed? How about joining us on a scallop drift…… The Scallop Drift is a much slower pace some of the other drifts so you can relax a little and watch what is happening around you. This dive is run as a drift dive to enable enough ground to be covered to ensure you can fill your catch bag with good sized scallops. The scallop beds move around a little and there is no guarantee you will see them straight away but rest assured you will see them. The dive site itself is further up the bay near Rye. The bottom is flat sand with scallops, stingrays, flat head and large spider crabs. You must have a current fishing license to be able to bag scallops.
