You would of learnt about Underwater and Surface Navigation during your PADI Open Water course, but do you want to know more?
The purpose of the course is to familiarise divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of underwater navigation. It is intended to serve as a safe and supervised introduction to navigation techniques used in the underwater environment.

Prerequisites:

PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.

Cost: $295.00 includes all tuition, four SCUBA dives and the PADI Guide to Underwater Navigation Manual.

Requirements:

  • Complete SCUBA unit including alternate air source and gauges
  • Mask, fins, boots and snorkel
  • Wetsuit / drysuit, boots, gloves etc.
  • Depth gauge and timing device, or dive computer
  • Weight System
  • Dive knife
  • Compass
  • Slate and pencil
  • SMB & Spool OR Safety sausage
  • Log book
  • 1 passport style photograph

Course Content:

3 dives over two days and two evenings of theory.

Please note: This course is ideal for finding wrecks and preventing those long swims, due to zig zagging around the bottom. The result is that you will save energy, use less air and you will have more time underwater to see what you were diving for in the first place.
